Hi I’m Lou

My work is rooted in observation and guided by natural light. I photograph what’s already there – the textures, the rituals, the small moments that give a space its character – and shape it into imagery that feels editorial and intimate in equal measure.

I came to photography through hospitality, with a background in leadership and running an award-winning artisan bakery of my own. It taught me what it takes to build something with genuine craft – and what it looks like when a brand truly believes in what it has built.

I believe great imagery should do what great hospitality does: invite someone in, let them feel the atmosphere, and leave them wanting to be there. My approach is calm and thoughtful. I take time to understand a brand – its values, its audience, the feeling it wants to create — so the imagery doesn’t just document a space, but reflects what makes it singular. The result is work that feels both elevated and genuinely lived-in.

Based in Cirencester, I work across the Cotswolds, the UK and Menorca, where I’ve had a personal connection for over forty years. I partner with craft producers, independent restaurants and boutique hotels on project commissions, campaigns and ongoing creative collaborations.
