The connection
I don’t arrive in Menorca as a visitor with a camera. I grew up coming here – summers by the sea, mornings in Mahón, slow evenings watching the light change over the port. That long, unhurried familiarity with the island’s rhythms and quiet details is exactly what I bring to a shoot: I already know the place before I ever raise a lens to it.
That long connection means I know more than the obvious locations. I know the quiet corners, the family-run agroturismos, the producers who still do things the traditional way. I know how the light moves across Mahón in winter. And I know what makes something feel authentically Menorcan – not a trend, not a filter, but a place with its own deep character.
