TERMS OF USE
Acceptance of Terms
Thank you for visiting Lou Carruthers Photography. By accessing or using this website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by these Terms.
These Terms apply to your use of the website only. If you engage Lou Carruthers Photography for commissioned work, separate project terms – including licensing, usage rights and breach provisions – will be set out in a formal contract or proposal provided for your project. Where the project contract differs from anything here, the project contract takes precedence.

Portfolio and Commissioned Work
Images and videos displayed in the portfolio sections of this website include commissioned work shown with client permission under agreed portfolio-usage rights.
All licensing terms, usage rights and commercial arrangements between Lou Carruthers Photography and her clients are governed by separate project agreements. Nothing on this website constitutes a grant of licence, sublicence, or usage rights to any visitor.
If you are an existing client with questions about your licence, please get in touch.
Personal Projects and Brand Representation
Some work featured on this site includes editorial and personal creative projects, which may feature recognisable products, venues or brands. These projects are entirely self-initiated, created for illustrative and artistic purposes, and do not imply endorsement by, or any formal relationship with, the product, brand or venue shown, unless clearly stated otherwise.
Image Integrity and Use of AI Tools
All photographic content on this website is created by Lou Carruthers Photography using professional photographic techniques.
Where editing software such as Adobe Lightroom or Photoshop is used, this may include AI-assisted features (such as generative fill, content-aware correction, or denoise tools), used solely to refine or enhance images originally captured by the photographer.
Lou Carruthers Photography does not use fully AI-generated or synthetic imagery to represent real scenes, products, or recipes anywhere on this website. Any use of generative tools is applied ethically, transparently, and only in support of images personally photographed.
