Hi, I’m Lou
The photographer who cares about
what images do, not just how they look
I’ve always been fascinated by the moment something makes us stop, feel something and choose.
That curiosity first led me into psychology and human performance, spending over 20 years in L&D helping organisations shape experiences that change how people think and act, through learning design, decision-making, attention and desire in ways most photographers never think about.
Later, I stepped away and opened an award-winning bakery of my own. Suddenly, the questions weren’t theoretical anymore. I was the one agonising over how to justify charging £45 for a celebration cake when supermarkets sold them for £10, whether investing in imagery really mattered and how to build something people truly connected with. That experience never left me.
Today, my photography brings all of those threads together – psychology, business ownership and a deep understanding of hospitality from the inside. Because beautiful images are only part of the story. The real question is what they help your brand become.
That’s where story meets strategy – most photographers ask what you want to shoot. I ask what you need the image to do.

WHAT THIS
MEANS FOR YOU
When we work together, you’re not just getting beautiful images.
You’re working with someone who genuinely understands the weight of the decision you’re making, because I’ve been there. Someone who thinks about consumer psychology, visual hierarchy and how your ideal guests or customers make decisions in the first three seconds. Someone who cares about how your images work across your website, your social channels, your booking platforms or retail presence – not just how they look in isolation.
Every project starts with the same question:
Will this image make someone feel what you need them to feel?
If the answer is yes, we’re onto something good.

Where I WORK
I’m based in the Cotswolds and Menorca, and work across Cirencester, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, the wider UK and the Balearic Islands.
Both locations are more than geography. The Cotswolds has shaped my understanding of British hospitality at its most considered – seasonal, story-led, and deeply rooted in place. Menorca brings something else entirely: heat, colour, a Mediterranean pace, and a growing hospitality scene that is only just finding its visual language.
If you’re building a brand in either world, I know the light, the audience, and the story.

When I’m not
behind the camera
Away from the camera, I’m probably planning my next Menorca escape, soundtracking a long drive far too enthusiastically, fuelled by brown-sugar oat-shaken espressos and an unapologetic love of Disney.
I believe deeply that the best hospitality makes people feel at home in a place they’ve never been before and that belief shows up in every shoot.
Lou’s work speaks for itself!
My first reaction was honestly ‘wow!’ The colours, lighting and detail made every dish stand out, and the images were even better than I expected. The whole experience was detailed, friendly and relaxed – Lou genuinely cares about getting everything just right. The mood board and plan were incredibly clear, and the results have given us a strong visual presence online. I couldn’t recommend her more.
