There’s something about this part of the world – the light through stone windows, the weight of a hand-thrown glass, the quiet confidence of a kitchen that knows exactly what it’s doing. The Cotswolds has some of the most considered hospitality in the country, and the best of it shares a quality you can feel before you can name it.

I work with boutique hotels, restaurants and food and drink brands who want imagery that holds onto that quality. Warm, atmospheric, editorial photography shot where you are – country house hotels, independent restaurants, craft drinks producers, and artisan food brands across Cirencester, Cheltenham, Stroud, Tetbury, Malmesbury and the surrounding villages.

Hi I’m Lou

I’m based in South Cerney, just outside Cirencester, and travel regularly across the wider Cotswolds – from country house hotels to independent producers tucked away in the villages between. I came to photography through hospitality – years of running an award-winning artisan bakery of my own, before photography became the way I work with brands I believe in.

That background shapes how I approach a region this varied: whether it’s a hotel dining room in Cheltenham or a craft distillery outside Stroud, I’m thinking about how the place actually feels, not just how it needs to look.

What I photograph

Across the Cotswolds, I work on hotel interiors and dining atmosphere, food photography for seasonal menus and tasting experiences, drink photography for craft spirits and cocktails, and brand photography for artisan producers and independent food and drink companies. Most shoots combine several of these – a hotel shoot might include food, drink, interiors and detail work across a single day.

Every project is shaped around what your brand actually needs, with photography designed to work across your website, social channels, press coverage and print materials.

Based near Cirencester, I regularly photograph across the wider Cotswolds:

Cheltenham, Stroud, Tetbury, Malmesbury,
Fairford, Chipping Campden, Stow-on-the-Wold,
Burford and the villages in between.
